Thanksgiving

We went to Justin's hometown for Thanksgiving. Here he is with his 3 cousins - Logan, Keelie, and Maya.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Cole to the pumpkin patch today. It was a cold, windy day, but I think he enjoyed it! Here he is sitting on a big pumpkin!


My mom went with us to the pumpkin patch!

We bought him a little pumpkin and they wrote his name on it and sprayed it so it's nice and shiny!

Babyproofing time!

Cole started crawling about 2 weeks ago... Every day he gets a little faster. It is so cute to watch! He has also started waving! He waves at everything! I will be driving down the street look in my mirror and see him waving! We went to a cookout tonight and he kept waving at the people sitting across from us. I can't believe how fast time goes... He will be 1 in about 3 months... Hard to believe! Can't I just freeze time for a little bit!

At least once a day someone comments on his hair. It looks like he has a mohawk, because he doesn't have as much hair on the sides and back of his head. We have even had several people ask if we cut his hair that way... Seriously??? I will post pics later... Just don't have a lot of time these days!!

8 Months

I can't believe my baby is 8 months old! He is still not crawling, but gets on all fours and rocks. He has 8 teeth now!! He loves to play with balls. He also loves his Leapfrog Scout puppy. He loves taking baths and splashing! He is starting to like about all baby foods now. Veggies aren't his favorite but he eats them. He loves fruit, except for peaches.

He is such a joy and such a blessing in my life!!!

Summer is almost over...

I still haven't posted pics from our Colorado trip, but if you haven't seen them already they are on facebook.

My husband has been gone at church camp since Sunday afternoon and won't be back til Saturday afternoon. Really bad timing for me, because I am trying to get my room ready. Cole's daycare provider was on vacation through Wednesday, so it has been an interesting and busy week. He started at daycare yesterday. At least I was so busy working on my room that I didn't have time to feel sad about it, but I know I am going to miss spending so much time with him!

He is REALLY wanting to crawl and is attempting, but always goes backwards!! Not too much longer...I guess that means I need to start babyproofing my house!! Not sure where I am going to find the time to do that???

I am definitely ready for some cooler weather... It is SO HOT!!!!

7 months!

I can't believe Cole is 7 months old!!! He is rolling all over the place and spins around on his stomach. No crawling yet... which I am thankful for. Its nice to be able to put him somewhere and find him in the same place when I get back. He is starting to do better on food. He likes oatmeal now and did eat carrots well last night. So slowly he is liking more than just sweet potatoes and bananas. He has the best personality and is such a good baby. I get asked all the time, "Is he always this good?" And for the most part he is... His favorite toy to play with is his Fisher Price camera and he also has a Fisher Price train that he loves. He likes to stick his tongue out and spit raspberries at us. It's amazing how they grow so fast!!!

Kristy's wedding

My sister in-law got married on Saturday. It was a busy weekend! Even though we were completely off schedule Cole did great! We were able to stay at the reception until 10. He is really such a laid back, easy-going baby!

Happy 4th!

Six Months!!

I can't believe my sweet baby boy is 6 months!! He is rolling all over the place and sitting up pretty good. We have tried eating a couple of things, but he isn't too fond of most of it yet. He does like sweet potatoes! We have lots more to try though! He is never in the same place in his bed when I go to get him. Half of the time is legs or arms are hanging outside. He is very ticklish and loves to giggle. He cracked up the other night when I was squirting him with a toy in the bath! His favorite toy to play with is the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Camera... He lights up when he sees it! I just love him to pieces!!! He is such a good baby!!

Our mini vacation

We had a two night FREE stay at a casino hotel, so we took advantage of it. We arrived there late last Tuesday night, because we had to leave after Church league softball... My husband is the coach and shortstop... Well all the rooms were full so we got put in the Master Suite on the top floor... It was VERY nice!!! Cole was excited to be there and get out of the car! We took him to the zoo the next day. He saw a few of the animals... He smiled at the giraffes, camel and bobcats. I don't know if he saw much else. He loved the train ride too!!

This picture doesn't portray how much he doesn't like cereal!! I have decided to stop and try again when school is out!! (June 9)








He has started liking his exersaucer more!!! We just bought him a swingset last weekend from an Amish family that sells them. The parents are 29 years old and pregnant with their 7th child!!! The 9 year old boy was mowing the lawn when we went to look at swing sets. Justin said the little girls were running around on the roof! Their neighbor helps them deliver the swingsets and furniture they make since they don't drive cars. They delivered the swingset today and put it together!! Cole loved swinging in it when we got home!!! It will provide many years of entertainment for him!!

I forgot to announce what job I did get. I will be teaching 1st grade next year! I am looking forward to it!!

Cereal

We have started trying cereal. However Cole doesn't like it at all! After a few days of trying rice, my sister suggested trying oatmeal. He pretty much has the same reaction. After a couple of bites (most of which comes back out) he screams. Both of my sisters' kids liked it right away. So I am just curious if anyone else had this problem?? I know it takes a little while for them to change how they use their tongue. Maybe I need to just keep trying...

5 months!

Good and Bad

I have been trying to post pictures on here for the past 2 days, but it won't let me for some reason...

The good news is I have a job AGAIN!! But the bad news is our a/c is broke!!! Luckily our basement is finished and we can be down there were it is cooler. Hopefully it is getting fixed tomorrow!!

Mother's Day

He is such a happy baby!!!

These are the roses Cole sent me on Friday to work. My husband also gave me a gift certificate for an hour long massage. I think I will save that when school is out... Looking forward to it... 20 more days!!

My Dad

Wishing he was here... 3 years ago yesterday my dad passed away. Cole and I went and got flowers yesterday and took them to his grave. It was the first time I have taken Cole there. I know that my dad can see him, but to me it was like introducing Cole to him. Every day I wish he were here to be apart of Cole's life (and mine!) I wish he could have met Justin. I am saddened that Cole doesn't have a grandpa...

Teeth!

Cole has been drooling for about 2 1/2 months, so I keep waiting for teeth to appear. He was really fussy Wed. night, Thurs. night and Fri. night. Saturday night I felt a tooth - the bottom right front tooth. I peeked in his mouth and there is was. The bottom left tooth is starting to come in as well!! I can't believe how early he is getting teeth!! He just turned 4 months a week ago! They grow up too fast!!!

So, I thought I had great news...

They decided Monday at the school board meeting that they had to cut more teachers due to the budget cuts. So I once again have no job!! :( Please pray for me!!!

FOUR MONTHS!!!

My baby is 4 months!!! Hard to believe!! He is rolling over from tummy to back and back to tummy. He loves to smile and is VERY ticklish, especially on his tummy. He giggles when you touch his tummy while you change him. He now likes to play in his exersaucer and jumperoo. He still loves his bouncy seat and gym as well. He loves listening to music and when mommy sings to him. He has been drooling like crazy for a couple months now, but no teeth yet! He occasionally finds his thumb to suck on or just puts his whole fist in his mouth!!! We love him to pieces and can't imagine life without him!!!
