A little smile

This is a little smile. Cole and I have had a good week this week. He slept 5 hours straight for 3 nights in a row. We made it to church this week. He slept the whole time.

More pics

I wasn't good about putting pregnant pics up, so I am trying to be better about putting up pics of Cole. He is cuter to look at anyway!

2 weeks

I took Cole to his 2 week check-up today. He weighs 9 lb. 11 oz. and is 22 1/2 in. It was an eventful trip. First we had to wait 45 min. in the waiting room. Then Cole peed all over the room when the nurse weighed him. The doctor said he is doing wonderful! Now I just wish I was doing as wonderful... I just wish I wasn't so sore!!

He has been more awake lately, so we are able to catch him with his eyes open.

So far he loves his swing!

Disregard me in this photo... Grace hung out with us Thursday, because they had a snow day!

I love this pic!

Justin took me out to dinner last night and my mom watched Cole! I was excited to fit in some of my old clothes again!!

week 1

He did not love his first bath experience. As you can tell...

Justin and Cole watching a Illinois basketball game. (Cole actually just slept through it)

My sweet baby boy!

Dec. 26

For the second night in a row, I didn't get any sleep because I had contractions. Just like the night before they got closer together and more intense. So once again I called the doctor and they had me go in at 4:30 am. They could not get to my cervix, because the head was so low to check me. They gave me a drug in my hand again to help with the pain. By about 10:30 or so the doctor came to see me. She was able to get to my cervix and I was only dialated to 1 and 100% effaced. She decided to strip my membranes to see if that would help. I went from a 1 to a 3 from her doing that, so they admitted me. I think Justin paniced a little bit realizing it was actually going to happen that day. My mom and sister had just stopped to see me, so he ran out to tell them. After they put me in my room, they hooked me up to an IV and the doctor broke my water. Not too much later I was getting an epidural. I was nervous about getting it, but it wasn't bad at all. After that the contractions weren't bad at all. The doctor came and checked me at 5:00 and I was completely dialated. So at about 5:15 I started pushing... the next 2 hours were not fun at all. I didn't think I was going to make it, but at 7:27 he was finally here!
